We have been working on code for VHR3D and getting a lot done, but we don’t have much appropriate to show you at the moment with our placeholder graphics. We hope to have some sort of early access up sometime in March- hopefully sooner! Depends on what all we can get done with our most limited resource- Time.
All this week we are going to be looking for feedback- what interests you and what you want to see in a horse game. After all, this game is being aided by your support. Please answer our first set of poll questions, and comment with anything additional you would like to say- thank you!

some mixed breeds would result in other breeds (like in real life, ex. warlander), whereas other mix breeds might be completely unrealistic (shetland x shire) and for that would probably be best to result in a generic mix breed maybe with bad stats or something so as to not reward irresponsible breeding, like in vhr where the horses would just be grade ponies or whatever.

Personally for the most part I find VHR (original) realitively easy to use. Mostly I’m looking forwards to learning a new game.

As a past player and Mod of VHR2, I am excited to hear of this renewed energy for a 3D version. I definitely want to be there during beta test if possible, and when it goes live !!!

Good luck with everything! I am looking forward to seeing this finished product. For the above polls, I’m most excited about having as close to realistic breeding as possible. In all my standalone horse games (Gallop Racer being the best BY FAR as breeding/genetics goes) that has always been my favorite part that keeps me going in games. VHR always had an interesting breeding mechanic as far as stats go and I’m hoping this will feel similar.

I think it’s best that the horses which are mix bred have an equal chance of having one or the other. (ei. Andulsian + Arabian… 50/50 chance of getting either arabian or andulsian). Also, I know this isn’t a part but I’ve played Star Stable Online and it was horrible because I had to be a member to jump and to level up higher then 4 levels and to go certain places. Please don’t include this, maybe make it more lenient (ei. Allowing players to jump without a membership, allowing players to level up more and get to harder quests (if this is added) and such like that). This game really seems amazing and I really don’t want to have to pay over $100 again for nothing. Thank you for reading and I hope you include some suggestions! <3

It’s kind of in a “ugly” state right now as we have a bunch of ugly temp UI buttons/backgrounds while we work on code. Soon, hopefully!

I wanted to ask, if there will be a option to do screenshots(/videos?) without the interface showing. I saw this in another game that did screenshots with F11 and videos with F12 automatically, it was really usefull! (I don’t know if this is common, since I only saw this option once.)
Maybe you want to add this too (:

Hi Mary, likely not videos- we would probably have to license software and integrate it from a third party company in order to make that happen. I’ll look in to screenshots, beyond just “print screen” button 🙂

We hope to have a customizable avatar, where you can pick clothing/colors and maybe a few different faces… We will need to get some more $$ in to get these done, but they are a priority!
